Bear Feast Festival a Success!
I want to thank everyone who came out to the Bear Feast Festival on Thursday afternoon / evening. It was great to see so many people out having fun in the sun and celebrating a great school year and the pending arrival of summer. The entire event was a production of our School Council and a special thanks goes out to our volunteers. Of note, our prize donors also helped make the event a success. It was a perfect evening for some food trucks and our DJ (who also donated his time) certainly kept things bumping.
50 / 50 Draw Continues
We have not quite hit the heights of the Oilers draw, but our 50 / 50 is now over $2800! Sales end on Thursday at 5:00 PM. Get your tickets HERE today for the chance to pick up some summer spending cash. Thanks for the support.
Yearbooks Handed Out This Week
The 2023-2024 Lakeshore Yearbooks will be distributed this week to those who ordered. Yearbooks will be given to students to bring home. We have a very limited number of yearbooks for sale for $35 starting Monday morning with cash or debit accepted in the office. These will be sold on a first-come basis and they will sell out fast.
Still Accepting Registrations for 2024-2025
We are still accepting registration for 2024-2025. While we are in a lottery / callback position, it is anticipated there will still be some natural movement. We have space for grade 9 and our current callback lists in grades 7 and 8 are small. We also continue to callback students for grade 6. Please feel free to contact the office at lakeshore@cbe.ab.ca for registration information.
Moving? Changing Schools?
If your family is planning on moving or changing schools for next year, please inform us directly so we can factor that into our planning. You can email lakeshore@cbe.ab.ca and this information may also positively impact another family on our callback list.
Fee Payment
Before end-year, please log into your MyCBE account to ensure all fees are paid up. All school-based fees (course fees, field trip fees, etc.) need to be settled before end-June.

Feel free to bookmark our Lakeshore Back-to-School tab on our website for updated information about the start of next school year. Information will be updated leading up to our first day on August 29.
Last Day August 28
Just a reminder that our final day of the school year is Thursday, June 27 and this will be an early dismissal day. Students will finish at 12:30 PM.
Indigenous Community Connections
Friday, June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day and throughout the year, our students, staff and families have helped to honour our current commitment. This week, Lakeshore School will be renewing our public commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, which we will share with all families. For those interested, the Walk for Reconciliation will take place on Friday with information available HERE.
