Hello Lakeshore Families,
And just like that, it’s March! Hopefully everyone had a great weekend, and we are looking forward to a great full week at Lakeshore. Here are the updates you need for the week ahead:

Report Cards
Parents can still access student report cards online through the MyCBE account. These were released last Tuesday.

March Conferences
Conferences will take place on the afternoon / evening of March 19 (in-person) and the morning of March 20 (online). Details will come your way soon. We understand that these dates take place during Eid al-Fitr celebrations, and hope that parents can join us. If an alternate time is required, please connect with your child’s homeroom teacher.

March School Council
Our next School Council meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 18 at 6:00 PM in our school Learning Commons. School planning and fees for 2026-2027 will be part of the agenda. Please mark your calendar to join our team that evening.

Spring Break Dates
Mark your calendars. March break dates are March 20 (conference day for families, no school for students) to March 29 with students returning to school on Monday, March 30.

Bears Athletics
Volleyball
Lakeshore's annual Prospect Volleyball tournament is this Friday, March 6 from 1:15- 7:45pm. This is the third year we have run this tournament for grade 7 students to help develop their volleyball skills and knowledge. We will be welcoming 3 teams from other schools around Calgary to find out who are the top Prospects.  The tournament is run in a triple ball format, aligning with Alberta volleyballs age-appropriate development guidelines. Spectators are welcome (with attending parent). Players were sent home with forms last week which need to be returned ASAP. Fees were also added to each players PowerSchool account.

Good luck to all of our Junior and Senior volleyball teams as they head into the last week of their regular season. 

Grade 6 Volleyball Club will continue to run this week. Welcoming all grade 6 students Thursday afterschool until 4:00 to gain some volleyball experience and have some fun.
