Hello Lakeshore Families,

Welcome to March. We’re looking forward to another great month at Lakeshore. Here are the updates you need for the week ahead:

School Planning Survey
Our engagement remains open through March 11. Please take some time to complete the survey HERE. Part of the survey refers to our School Development Plan, which is available HERE.

Complementary Course Selection
Students in Grades 6-8 will be working with their teachers this week to select their complementary courses for the 2025-2026 school year. Please take some time to review the Course Guide with your student before selections are made.

Interested in Grade 9 French at Lakeshore?
We are asking families of our Grade 8 students to complete an expression of interest survey to help us with our consideration for French as a complementary course option for Grade 9 next year. The 2-minute survey is available HERE. Note, this is only for next year Grade 9 and we are not looking at a French option for Grades 6-8.

Moving? Changing Schools?
If your family is moving outside of Auburn Bay or Mahogany for the 2025-2026 school year, or if you know your child is changing schools for next year, we ask that you please email the office at lakeshore@cbe.ab.ca to update us with your plans. As a lottery school, any spaces created offer spots to students on our callback list.

Casino Volunteers Desperately Needed
Our casino is coming up this month and a few volunteer positions still need to be filled, including many backup positions. You sign up HERE or you can reach out to our School Council at lakeshoreparents.comms@gmail.com if that’s easier.

Hot Lunch Options
Options for the week of March 10 include Edo, Boardwalk, Spolumbos and Popeyes. Orders can be placed HERE.
