Bears Athletics

The football teams have an exhibition game on Wednesday at McKenzie Highlands School. All players forms should have been returned and fees have been posted on PowerSchool. Good luck to our football players as they prepare for their big tournament on Friday June 7th at Shouldice.

The badminton season is almost over, with the grade 6 team going to their divisional on Tuesday at Lord Beaverbrook High School. Congratulations to the grade 7-9 players on a great season. We had may successes including winning Sr. girls singles, Sr. mixed doubles, Jr. Boys singles first and third. Badminton fees are now overdue and need to be paid asap by signing into your PowerSchool account.

Track and Field teams will be posted for students to view on Tuesday morning. Student who have been named to the team will be given an information package including permission forms during PE class. If a student is unable to attend it is important we know asap, so another student can be given the opportunity. This is a full day field trip on Thursday June 6th, starting at 9:00am, with some athletes needing to arrive for 8:30am, and ending at 4:30pm. A detailed schedule including event times will be included in each athlete package. Unfortunately, this year we were unable to attain any busing. Therefore, all participants will have to have their own transportation to and from the meet. We are strongly encouraging carpooling, any help getting all our amazing athletes to the meet would be greatly appreciated. Finally, we need about 5 parent volunteers. If you are available and have a current volunteer clearance completed, please let Mrs. Clark know, agclark@cbe.ab.ca.
