Hello Lakeshore Families,

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and hopefully everyone is enjoying a wonderful weekend full of gratitude, family and friends. Here are your updates for the week:

Action Item – Demographic Forms
We still have many parents/guardians who have not yet completed their annual online demographic forms. If you have not completed these forms, please log on to your MyCBE Parent account and do so, ASAP.

It is important to recognize these forms are a legal requirement from Alberta Education. It is imperative that the Demographic forms are reviewed and completed annually to ensure that everything we have on file for your child(ren)’s student file is accurate and up to date.

Please call the office if you are having trouble completing the online forms.

Yearbooks for Sale
Our yearbook committee is already busy preparing another amazing yearbook. Pre-orders are required, and the early-bird special of $30 is on through the end of the month. You can place your orders online HERE.

Remembrance Day – Family Connections
Lakeshore School is seeking to honour Remembrance Day by drawing connections within our BEAR community. We invite you to share photographs of family members, past or present, who have served in the military or contributed to wartime efforts. These photos will help us commemorate their bravery and sacrifice. By collecting and displaying these images, we hope to create a meaningful tribute that fosters a deeper connection to the significance of Remembrance Day.

We are seeking digital photographs to feature in both printed displays and as part of our Lakeshore Remembrance Day Assembly. Please find the online submission HERE. When sharing & attaching your photograph, please rename the Photo File as LakeshoreStudentName & Grade Example: JohnMcCrae9

All Lakeshore families are invited to attend our School Council meeting on Wednesday starting at 6:00 PM at the school.

Perogy Fundraiser Ongoing

Anxiety & Youth – Parent Presentation
As part of our collaborative efforts as a group of South Calgary Middle Schools, Lakeshore families are invited to attend a parent session on November 8th starting at 6:30 PM at McKenzie Highlands school. The session about Anxiety and Youth is offered by Recovery Alberta. Anxiety is one of the most common mental health concerns affecting children and families across the lifespan. This session will explore what anxiety and stress are, how to recognize it, and how to support resilience. Pre-registration is available HERE, but it is not required.
