It feels like December has just snuck up on us. It’s hard to believe we are in the final month of 2023. Here is your weekly update:

 

BEAR Fill-a-Sock Campaign

December brings our latest community campaign, which is Fill-a-Sock for the Mustard Seed and Calgary’s homeless population. Each homeroom has been assigned a specific item to donate (listed below), $10 gift cards for Tim Horton’s and McDonalds are also universal donations.  

 

Grade 6: 61 – socks, 62 – toothbrushes, 63 – socks, 64 – toothpaste, 65 – socks, 66 – deodorant, 67 – socks, 68 – shampoo, 69 – socks, 610 – conditioner

Grade 7: 71 – lotion, 72 – body wash, 73 – Chapstick, 74 – tissue, 75 – ear plugs, 76 – razors, 77 – hand warmers, 78 – sleep mask

Grade 8: 81 – toothbrushes, 82 – toothpaste, 83 – deodorant, 84 – shampoo, 85 – conditioner, 86 – lotion, 87 – Chapstick, 88 – comb

Grade 9: 91 – body wash, 92 – Q-tips, 93 – tissue, 94 – nail clippers, 95 – Chapstick, 96 – comb

Complementary Courses Showcase & Band Concert – January 18^th

Mark your calendars! The Complementary Courses Showcase & Band Concert will take place on Thursday January 18^th from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at Lakeshore School. The Complementary Courses Showcase will take place prior to the Concert which begins at 6:30 PM. More information will be shared with students and families in the coming weeks.

 

Perogy Pickup

If you ordered Perogies or Sausage from our Prairie Gourmet fundraiser, pickup will be on December 12 from 6-8 PM at the school.

 

No School Council Meeting in December

There is no School Council meeting this month. The next meeting is January 17, 2024.
