Update to Parents - Week of November 20, 2023
Hello Lakeshore Families,
We are looking forward to seeing our families for conferences this week, and we anticipate another great week at Lakeshore. Here are your current updates:
No Classes for Students Friday
Friday is reserved for parent-teacher conferences so there are no classes for students.
Conference Bookings Live
If you would like to book a conference for Thursday evening (in-person) or Friday (online), please do so using your MyCBE account. Full conference information is available HERE.
Cyber Safety Booklet
Thank you to our families who came out to Cyber Safety presentation last Wednesday evening. Feedback from those in attendance was very positive. The Youthlink resource that was provided is now available to all parents HERE.
Storm Pond Safety Awareness
Our communities are fortunate to have many storm ponds which benefit our watershed, protect against flooding, and enhance natural surroundings. As our wet ponds freeze over the winter months, kids may see these areas as “shortcuts” on they make their way from place to place. Please remind your children to stay off storm ponds at all times.
Last Call for Perogy Fundraiser
This is the final week for our Prairie Gourmet Perogy fundraiser. Please return your paper copy orders and get your online orders in ASAP. Here are the steps:

2. Enter the campaign password: lakeshorebears
3. Enter the seller's name, phone number, and email address. THIS IS THE STUDENT'S NAME.
4. Repeat starting at step 1 for each student, if you have multiple students.
Bingo Volunteers Needed
The School Council / Fundraising Association is looking for Bingo volunteers. Non-smoking environment and no experience needed. Please contact lakeshoreparents.comms@gmail.com for information.
Bears Basketball Tournament Champs
It was Lakeshore vs. Lakeshore in the final of the development tournament held this past weekend at JCS High School. Both boys team entries made it to the top of their pools to earn a spot in the finals. The final was back-and-forth and exciting. The girls team also showed really well against some established junior division teams, and ended up with some great game experience. Congrats to all athletes and coaches, and thanks to our parent supporters. Best of luck to our junior and senior basketball teams who start playoffs over the next couple weeks.
That’s all the news for this week. We look forward to seeing you during conferences.
Kind Regards,
Ian Fero,
Principal
